There was a time in my life, where I was at my lowest point possible. I used to suffer from chronic pain, and this pain caused me so much depression that lasted more than a year. I felt like I had no future and that life was not going to get better for me. It was up to the point where I didn’t want to wake up and experience my day, couldn’t fall asleep at nights and I was distancing from friends.
It is mind boggling that throughout all of this, nobody knew the amount of pain I was struggling with. I had always been known as a well-liked kid, and I am very privileged, in regards to family, friends, fiances etc.. and it made no sense to me as to why my life was so miserable. But it wasn’t until one day I said to myself I had enough, I cannot go on with this anymore.. and I took matters into my own hands.
I started searching and searching for ways to make me happier, and that’s when I started implementing healthy habits into my life. Fast forward 3 years later, life is a blessing, truly beautiful and a gift. The mindset and state that I am in now, is a total 180. I felt like I was once at the bottom, and now I’m at the top.
All of that struggle has shaped me into the person I am today. And it a lot of it happen because I took responsibility for my own happiness and success. Every single day, I made it my goal to better myself – to prioritize my self-care.
As Sam would say, small consistent actions. and this is no word of a lie, small consistent actions over time will yield staggering results. I learned that happiness is not something that just happens, it is to be worked for. I began to practice meditation (amazing btw), exercise, nutrition, and much more.
I’ve learned to connect with the universe, only when I realized that the universe was within me all along. I found my passion and my purpose in this life. In which I am dedicating my life to help those who don’t see the light at the end of their tunnel. Because I promise you, it’s there.
One day, you will look back and realize, that the struggle was necessary for the growth. As a plant needs rain to grow. Send a follow on Instagram and talk to me about lifestyle: @cross.novia 🙂
